Friday design challenge

Last weekend I went to Montreal to visit some friends. Jacquelyn Hebert is an artist (& ex-roommate) with whom I am collaborating on a new project. Here is a sketch from our late night project planning.

Hot business!

Last week BSL sent me to Hawaii with a team of 7. We were responsible for photographing and videographing the events and seminars at the conference, among other things. At night we would edit our footage and prep for the next day. Regardless of the amazing location we worked our butts off, and had many nights of little to no sleep. I somehow managed to spend the majority of my hawaiian trip in an air conditioned light controlled studio. The end result was worth it though!

I can’t express how impressed I was with our team too. Everyone was so great at helping out in any way possible, yet we somehow managed to keep the mood fun. I’m so grateful to be able to work with such talented dedicated people. xo m

A shoot at The National Arts Centre

Yesterday an awesome BSL team and I went to Southam Hall at the NAC/CNA to film some interviews for a piece we’re creating for the orchestra. What a gorgeous space, inspired speakers and a great crew. I can’t wait to post the video!

NAC Presents: Artwork

My desk area at the agency (Banfield Seguin Ltd) has been needing some artwork, so I thought what better excuse to make something!?!

I looked through my boxes of paper props to put something together and I thought the ‘NAC Presents’ artwork would be the most relevant as it is a logo designed by BSL designer, Timothy Jones. (See BSL’s Post) So I took the pieces that had been used in the animation and put them together in three shadow boxes. Et voila!
